Being too poor to afford a $15 haircut, and not vain enough to care that much about my hair, I have always had my mom cut my hair.
Even though my mom is 60 years old, she is still my faithful barber!
This sequence of photos was taken in November 1998 on the porch of my parents' home.
We were outside so I didn't make a mess inside with all my hairs.
Notice I have my shirt off even though it was November! It was about 20 C. California is not always paradise, but it is pretty good!

Snip! Snip! Snip!
How many hair salons do you know where you can get your hair cut and get a tan at the same time!

"What are you looking at?"

My mom puts the finishing touches in the back!

My dad surveys my mom's work. It does not look like he is that impressed. My mom also looks dissatisfied. Me, I could not be happier! :-)

Finished! Wait, I thought I said I was not vain! Look at me admire my mom's haircutting skills. My mom looks at me, as I hold the mirror up, wondering if she did a good job. I was happy with it, as always! I'm an easy customer!
