Yes, I did.I'm looking for a spectralite/cuben fibre solo tarp at the moment and was reading on your website that you used this tarp on your yo-yo trip. I hike in mountainous and windy weather and the MLD Grace solo seemed to cope well with stormy weather.
However i noticed on your gearlist that it's weight was quoted as 6 ounces. The MLD website quotes it as 4.4 ounces. Did you have any modifications done to it to add to the weight?
I had two MLD tarps. One for New Mexico, which weight about 3.5 ounces, it was incredibly small, yet was useful when I got some light snow/rain one night. I don't recommend going that small unless you're doing a lot of desert hiking.
The main one I used for 85% of the journey was 6 ounces because it was bigger.
I don't remember if MLD includes the weight of the guylines. I do. That could also explain the difference in weight. I'll ask Ron Bell to chime in.
