So I'm considering a fast (sub 90 day) 2016 PCT SoBo starting on Aug 1.
Where can I start educating / gathering information / etc about snow that is likely to be on the ground at that time?
I suppose a trip up north for a couple days **this** year might be the best teacher....
But any other advice and recommendations would be welcome. Thank you all in advance.

The best place to check snowlevels is http://postholer.com
However, when you're starting anytime after mid-July, you really don't need to worry about snow-levels.
Although snow may remain on the ground, it's minimal.
