trip idea's

Post by rudykoehler » Wed Apr 06, 2016 2:30 pm

Looking for suggestions, idea's for a walk / hike travel.

From Canada and wanting to leave the continent, anywhere is open for consideration.
But following criteria should apply:

Wanting to travel 30-60 days (3/4 walk-hike, 1/4 TBD)
Combination of country / wild / town / city.
Time of travel Oct to Dec. with temperature in the 15-30 degree celcius range

thanks rudy

The first thing that popped in my mind would be hiking the Darren Gap in Panama.
It's probably not as dangerous as some think and it would be a great (warm) adventure in that time of year.

There's also the Rim of Africa trail in South Africa. It would be warm.

You could also consider the Drakensburg Traverse in Lesotho-South Africa. It took me 8 days, but you could extend it or take your time.

I'm currently in Madagascar. I'm hiking the whole country in 4 months. There are sections that could also work for you. Make your own trail there. ;)

Good luck and let me know what you decide!
