Appalachian Trail Questions

John: I list my packing list is in my book, Hike Your Own Hike. But it's also on my AT website.I stumbled across your website and I had a few questions. If i listed them all you'd porbably end up spending 3 hours writing me back but the short is when you went SOBO on the AT what was your general packing list to average a 7 pound pack and when did you start on Khatadin.
Also whats the biggest advice for a prospective SOBO hiker. Thanks.

I started in Maine on June 26 and finished Oct 16 (111 days).
Biggest advice: Learn from trail lore! (See Chap 4 of my book).
If you have many questions, I encourage you to pick up my book, because with 352 pages, I answer a lot of questions!
