S'more maker for a stove?

Post by lindseypoo555 » Mon Mar 15, 2010 8:48 pm

I just found an old s'more maker I have and was wondering if you think it could be used with alcohol for a camping stove. It says to only be used with a chafing fuel can, but I don't see why I could not just pour alcohol onto it. It looks similar to this one. I think mine is an older version of it. http://www.yorkblog.com/eatersdigest/Smores%20Maker.jpg

Lindsey,

That's a tough call! I agree with you that it seems like it could handle alcohol. I would ask the maker of the product.

However, I would still recommend going with a lighter stove. This guy looks a bit heavy. So lighten up and go with something that you know can handle the fuel you want to use. If not, then check with the maker and see if you can return it if it doesn't work.

Let me know how it goes! :geek:
